Arizona fire crews are fighting the fire near Flagstaff, which has burned more than 21,000 acres since April 17.

Arizona fire crews are fighting the Tunnel Fire near Flagstaff, which has burned more than 21,000 acres since April 17. The fire has more than tripled its size since it started and has reportedly destoyed the Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument.

12 News provide these updates this morning:

  • More than 400 firefighters are working the fire
  • Approximately 700 homes have been ordered to evacuate; about 2,000 people have already evacuated
  • More than 100 structures have been destroyed
  • The Red Cross has set up a shelter at the Sinagua Middle School
